In this full day workshop, you’ll create your own mosaic tray table using a durable steel table base that can hold up to 100 pounds, then design the inset top with a mix of broken Mexican tiles, stained glass, sea glass, and other mosaic materials. Each piece will turn out different, which is part of what makes these so special.
This is a hands on workshop with plenty of guidance along the way. You do not need prior mosaic experience. We’ll cover design planning, choosing and arranging materials, adhesive, grouting, and finishing so you leave with a functional piece of art for your home, porch, sunroom, or patio.
In order to allow plenty of design time, we will give you the option to grout here or at home. We will demonstrate how to do it, and if you prefer you can do all design/gluing here and then finish it on your own.
Think of this workshop as a creative staycation! A full day to settle in, work with your hands, and make something you’ll be proud to keep and use. Sign up with a friend or your spouse etc. and make a day of it.

Your finished table will be both decorative and practical, with a sturdy steel frame and a tray style top that works well as an accent table, plant stand, porch table, or side table.
