Welcome to Highland Arts & Crafts.

Starting May, 29th the Shelter in Place order has been lifted and we are safe to enter “phase 3” reopening.  We will continue to provide “to go” kits and virtual events, but will also start to welcome small groups of 6 or less into the studio for private events.

If you would like to book a “family experience” and work on a project together with members of the same household, or gather with a small group of friends we are happy to work with you.  Strict sanitation and social distancing guidelines will be in place for your safety and for ours.

For the time being, our public shopping hours will remain noon – 4pm until we see how things progress.  We can’t open and run fully unless people are coming in and events are being booked.  For that reason we still plan to offer virtual events a few times per month.  We know this is likely to be a long road back and “phase 3” is just the beginning.

Behind the scenes we are also working to develop an ecommerce element to our business.

Our summer programs “Explore the World Through Art” will be offered virtually in June and we will open the studio to 6 children at a time to participate live in July.  Those dates/projects will be scheduled soon.

Our little indy art studio sincerely continues to need and appreciates your support!

    • Paid workshops will be held on our website through Zoom.    Check our Calendar for “virtual events” You can choose to turn on your mic/cam and be social, or turn them off and simply follow along live.
  • To go craft kits are available for curbside pickup or delivery if you live in Highland.
    • We have created and are updating a Remote Shop Facebook Photo Album featuring items from our local creatives.  If you see something you want, contact us and we’ll invoice you.  Once payment is received your item will be prepared for pick up or we can deliver it to you if you’re local.
    • FREE Journaling Pages:  In an effort to help others cope, I’ve created a series of journaling pages that I’ll continue to add to.  They are completely free for you to download and use.  We hope it brings a bit of inspiration and hope to brighten your days.
    • Purchase a gift certificate for future use when our studio reopens officially.
    • Book a virtual art party for your friends and co-host it with us.  We’ll put together kits for pickup or delivery and lead your project.  As a co-host you can do trivia, games or whatever.  A great way to have a birthday party, girls night “in”, etc. and make it social while maintaining safety.  Contact Me if you’re interested in a private virtual party or team building event.  We’d love to work with you.

We are conveniently located at 207 Suppiger Lane in Highland, Illinois just minutes from I-70.  We are close to everything, yet maintain a small, hometown feel.  Our convenient location is easy-to-find and a great meeting place for friends all over the Metro St. Louis and surrounding areas.   We are directly behind the McDonald’s off of 143.
