2 Day Creative Build Program | Ages 10+
Fantasy World Builders is a two day studio program for students who love imaginative thinking, hands on building, and creating detailed scenes.
Students will build a complete fantasy environment inside a 12 x 12 x 2 inch tray style wooden frame that sits flat on the table. This is a bottom up build. The frame acts as the container while students create terrain, structures, and small scene details that rise up from the base.
This is not a toy project. It is a guided creative build that blends design, construction, and storytelling into a finished display.
What students will create
Over two days, students will design and build a finished fantasy world scene using a variety of materials and techniques.
Materials may include:
• laser cut wooden facades and shapes that students paint and customize
• sticks, stones, moss, and natural textures
• clay details and small sculpted elements
• paper mache forms for hills, caves, or raised terrain
• paint and mixed media accents for finishing touches
Students will learn how to plan a scene, build up terrain, and add details in a way that feels cohesive rather than random.
The studio focus
This program emphasizes:
• imagination paired with structure
• spatial planning and composition
• problem solving through building
• patience and follow through
• working independently within a group setting
Students are encouraged to create their own setting, whether it’s an enchanted village, a mysterious cave, a forest hideout, or an original world of their own design.
Finished project
Each student will leave with a complete 12 x 12 inch fantasy world display inside their tray frame, ready to take home and display.
All materials are included.
