Explosion Book Art Journal: Thursday, June 12th, 10 AM - 2 PM, Ages 9+
In this one-day intensive, kids will create an "exploding art book" (also known as a squash book) that unfolds into a dynamic, interactive piece of art. They’ll start by constructing the journal from scratch, learning how to fold and assemble it into its unique, expandable shape. Once the structure is complete, they’ll decorate it with their own artistic style—using drawing, painting, collage, and other techniques to make each panel of the journal uniquely theirs.
This project is both fun and challenging, giving participants a chance to explore creativity while learning hands-on paper crafting skills. The finished piece is a keepsake they’ll be proud to show off!
