Just in time to kick off fall, join me for a relaxed fall watercolor retreat day.
We’ll spend the first part of class covering beginner-friendly watercolor techniques, including practice exercises, color mixing, layering, brush control, simple shading, and finishing details using watercolor paint, watercolor pencils and ink.
After that, you’ll choose from a selection of fall-inspired templates and work on creating three 5x7 watercolor paintings.
Template options will include pumpkins, fall botanicals, ghosts, a witch cottage, and other cozy autumn designs (see below). You’re also welcome to draw your own design if you prefer.
This class is great for beginners, but also open to anyone who wants a low-pressure day to paint, practice, and settle into the season. If you've taken watercolor classes with me previously we'll build on what you've already learned!
Cost includes all materials needed, use of studio watercolor supplies, practice sheets, templates, three 5x7 professional quality watercolor papers, mats for your finished pieces, and a small take-home palette for touch-ups if needed, plus light refreshments and cookies.
Most students should be able to complete or nearly complete their paintings during class.
Seats are limited to 8 people so everyone has room to work and time for help.
