4-Day Painting Studio | Ages 10+
Pro Paint Lab is a 4-day painting program for students who enjoy art and want time to slow down, focus, and build stronger painting skills.
This is not a fast-paced craft camp. It is designed for kids who enjoy working with intention, listening to instruction, practicing new techniques, and having space to create without being rushed.
Students will work with watercolor, gouache, and acrylic paint through short demonstrations, guided practice, and independent studio time.
Instruction will focus on:
• layering and transparency
• color mixing
• brush control
• how each painting medium behaves
• building confidence through practice and exploration
Instead of one rigid project, students will create multiple studies and paintings throughout the week. This gives them time to practice, experiment, and discover which medium they enjoy most.
On the final day, students will choose a favorite medium and create a more finished piece using the techniques they’ve practiced.
Students will paint on paper, canvas, and wood. Each participant will also receive a set of professional quality brushes to keep. All other materials are provided.
This program is best for students who:
• enjoy painting and creative focus
• can follow multi-step instructions
• are comfortable working at their own pace
• like a relaxed but structured studio setting
Participants should bring a sack lunch and water bottle each day. We’ll provide an afternoon snack. If your child has dietary restrictions, please send an appropriate snack from home.
Required paperwork, including a waiver and studio guidelines, will be emailed before the program begins.
