VineGogh Wine Bar & Art Studio

You’re not the next Monet? That’s OK!

Creativity is fun and it’s for everyone.

There are many misconceptions around art.  Many believe that art is only for those born with natural talent or who have extensive formal training or education, or who jury into shows or display in galleries.

That’s not true, but these misconceptions can be intimidating and prevent people from enjoying art and all the positive benefits of personal expression.

We all start at the beginning.  You don’t have to be the next Monet to benefit from picking up a paint brush. Our shop has a mission to inspire and encourage creativity in all who visit us.

Whether you want to develop a skill or simply appreciate the hard work and talents of other local creatives – our shop will have something you’ll enjoy.

Highland Arts & Crafts plans to provide our guests with a positive, judgment free atmosphere where anyone can feel welcome to enjoy creativity in all its forms.

Beyond just fun, creative activities have a range of positive health benefits for people of all ages.

Some of those benefits include:

  • Enhanced cognitive development
  • Expression of complex emotions and ideas
  • Stress reduction
  • Improved memory
  • Strong hand/eye coordination
  • Increased self-esteem

When Nick and I were brainstorming ideas for a shop, our top goal was that it be a fun place where everyone can feel comfortable trying out a new skill or doing something new.

Not Just a Store

We have a great classroom area with a large table that we plan to use for special events and classes, but when it’s not in use – we welcome our guests to spend some time using the space.

Have you ever had a stressful day and just want to work on a project in peace for awhile? Yeah – we know the feeling :).

Perhaps you just don’t have the space or distraction free environment you’d like at home so those projects you start with enthusiasm end up collecting dust.

As long as the room is not booked for classes or an event at the time of your visit, you’re welcome to use it for free if you purchase with us and even if you don’t.  Perhaps you’ll leave us a tip in the tip jar – we’d be mighty grateful.

We only ask if you have a group with more than 2-3 people to actually book and rent the space for an affordable hourly rate.

We look forward to opening soon and hope you’ll find our new place an enjoyable space to hang out and get inspired!
