This class is different from other classes and you will need to bring some items, so please read carefully.
What to bring Please bring an EASY or BEGINNER pattern, a pair of scissors or rotary cutter and mat, fabric that you want to use to make your pattern, a cutting mat if you have one, pins or weights and a tape measure (optional) your sewing machine, and any notions you will need to finish your garment.
First, we will learn the basics of reading and understanding terminology used in sewing a garment pattern. We'll spend approximately 30 minutes going over terminology used in garment sewing.
The following hour and a half will be spent laying out your pattern pieces and cutting out our garment.
We will then break for lunch for 30 minutes.
During the second half of the class we will sew the garment together and you will go home with a finished or almost finished project. This is why it needs to be a beginner pattern.
To take the class you will need to know the basics of sewing and be very familiar with your sewing machine. Intermediate level
