Did you know you can make soap in a Crockpot? This is old fashioned soap with a modern twist.
Join us for a fun-filled afternoon of learning in a relaxed environment. Whether you're a beginner or merely curious; you'll enjoy this demo/class.
In just two hours, you'll learn everything you need to know to create basic bars of soap including:
- How to safely use sodium hydroxide (lye) and why it's nothing to fear.
- How to use and understand big soap making words like "saponification" to impress your friends.
- How to choose the right oils, herbs, and other ingredients to make bars that are perfect for your needs.
- How to properly measure and prepare your ingredients
- How and where to find the supplies you need
During the class, we will actually make a batch of soap together and I will show you the process from start to finish.
You'll learn a failsafe way to make a very basic bar of soap and we'll cover some ideas for how to expand your skills once you are comfortable with making a basic batch.
You'll receive a folder with a recipe, all the course information and recommended resources for further learning.
You'll also get a free bar of the soap we make, but you'll have to pick it up later since it needs time to cool and cure.
This course is ideal for absolute beginners or those who are unsure but would like to see how it's made and enjoy a fun demo.
We'll have free refreshments for our attendees as well.
